It’s been a heavy few months and the last few weeks have been heavier. Like many of you, I’ve been balancing a lot—work, life, and processing the weight of the news.
Friends and family asked me for resources they or their loved ones may need to respond to what is happening in our neighborhoods lately – namely federal law enforcement action that is, at times, worsened by local law enforcement. In response to these requests, I’ve put together a Know Your Rights guide focused on two areas where people need immediate, practical support:
- Immigration-related concerns, including how to respond to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity and where to access legal help; and
- Protestor rights, especially in light of recent demonstrations and government responses.
This free resource includes:
✅ Rapid response hotlines across Southern California
✅ Legal aid and nonprofit immigration services
✅ Multilingual video explainers
✅ Protest-related legal representation options
✅ Step-by-step family preparedness plans
Whether you’re directly impacted, organizing in solidarity, or just want to be informed and ready to support others, this guide is for you.
