Welcome to Bright New Beginnings! I’m Ana, a first-generation college and law school graduate dedicated to sharing the knowledge and resources I’ve gathered throughout my journey. Growing up in Los Angeles as the daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, I’ve always been passionate about promoting racial and social justice. With over 15 years of advocacy experience and my role as a leader in education law and policy for a non-profit organization in California, I’ve had the privilege of working to protect and advance the interests of diverse communities in California and beyond. My background includes litigating major cases, such as securing a $150M settlement to support high-need schools, and being recognized with honors like the Daily Journal’s California Lawyer of the Year (CLAY) Award. Beyond my professional work, I’ve been deeply involved in mentoring and supporting future leaders through various organizations and programs.
